Handcrafted by a bearded chap in a hat, using an axe, knives, and other human powered tools. This small Scoop was carved from a log of spalted birch, and is finished with linseed oil.

A simple yet robust untensil, perfect for scooping salt, spices, etc.

Please note that I do not use power tools or sanding tools/methods to finish my hand carved products. My process also embraces the natural character and qualities of the material being worked, following the organic and inherent contours of the grain and characteristics of each piece of wood. Therefore, you should expect a form that expresses and embraces the beauty of each individual piece of wood, along with some tool marks which celebrate the authentically hand crafted process of each piece.
